c-ares security update
An update for c-ares is now available for openEuler-20.03-LTS and openEuler-20.03-LTS-SP1.
This is c-ares, an asynchronous resolver library. It is intended for applications which need to perform DNS queries without blocking, or need to perform multiple.
Security Fix(es):
A Node.js application that allows an attacker to trigger a DNS request for a host of their choice could trigger a Denial of Service in versions < 15.2.1, < 14.15.1, and < 12.19.1 by getting the application to resolve a DNS record with a larger number of responses. This is fixed in 15.2.1, 14.15.1, and 12.19.1.(CVE-2020-8277)
An update for c-ares is now available for openEuler-20.03-LTS and openEuler-20.03-LTS-SP1.
openEuler Security has rated this update as having a security impact of high. A Common Vunlnerability Scoring System(CVSS)base score,which gives a detailed severity rating, is available for each vulnerability from the CVElink(s) in the References section.
